Fun in the Snow!!!

Well there isn't that much snow left on the ground right now but we where determined to let the kids go tubing during their Christmas break. So we took them and it was really fun. The snow was very thin but it worked just great. Teagan loved it the most. Shelby went a couple of times and Gavin was scared the three times he went. Rick and I also went a couple of times too. The snow is fun I just don't like when it is soooo cold.

New Years!!!!

Most of my side of the family rented a cabin in Pine Valley for New Years!! We all had our own room and there was soooooo much space for the kids to run around and play. There was a ping pong table and a pool table too. The guys LOVE to have tournaments. We (well the adults anyway) stayed up till about 2am playing lots of fun games. We had a BLAST. I hope this new year is as wonderful as this night was! Happy New Year!

Christmas!!!!!

My family had a wonderful Christmas Eve together. Everyone came to our house and we had a nice Ham dinner, played games, and exchanged gifts. It is always so nice to have our family over, we all get along so well. I really love my whole family. On Christmas morning some of the family came over for a breakfast. Rick worked until 10am so we waited for him to open up presents.

My dad, Cynthia, Anders, Dex, and Erin spent Christmas with us. Santa brought stockings for all of them too. They didn't get too many presents under the tree because they all went on an eight day cruise for Christmas.
Here is what santa brought the kids. My picture of the Christmas tree and presents didn't turn out. But the had plenty of presents to open as well from mom and dad, grandparents, and aunts and uncles!!1
Teagan just got glasses a week or so ago! He says ( and we tell him ) that he looks like a doctor and spiderman!!!!
Every rime we asked Shelby what she wanted for Christmas she would say "A baby (doll), stroller, and barbie." she already had all of those things but Santa seemed to listen to her!!
Gavin loves to push Shelby's strollers around so Santa thought it was a good idea to have something else for him to push around. And you can't see it very well but he got a car track. When he opened his hot wheel pack of 10 cars he was sooooooo excited. This boy LOVES cars!

Overall we had a wonderful Christmas. We went to Rick's moms house on Sunday and had a nice dinner and a very wonderful time with the family over there! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as well!

This was Shelby's first dance Recital ever!! She did so well. She was so pretty. She really danced pretty good for both of her dances. We really enjoyed watching her.

Shelby all ready for her very first day of preschool. She has watched Teagan go to school for the past couple of years and has been waiting for her day to finally go. She was so excited!!

I love my kids so much. They are the world to me. I miss them when they are gone but I am so glad that they have this opportunity to go to preschool and learn new things from new people and to be able to socialize with other kids. They absolutely LOVE going to school.

Fun at he Ranch!!!

We had a blast over in Hatch a couple of days before the 4th of July. We went on some 4-wheeler rides, went fishing, and had lots of fun with family. The kids got new fishing poles for easter and they were finally able to use them. We had a very fun day at the ranch and at the ponds!

Mother, I Love You!

My mom was kind, loving, caring, sensitive, comforting, fun, funny, talented, giving, respectfull, entertaining, motivated, sensational, and so much more.
She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, cousin, and aunt to many that all loved her very much. This is a picture of me and my mom when I was 81/2 months old.

You can just see the love she had for her family in her eyes!

My mom made all these costumes. She was so talented and crafty.

She made these dresses as well! My mom always had our hair done so nice for holidays, but it was also curled every sunday for church!

I just love this picture of my mom and brad!

This is probably one of the last pictures my mom took of us kids before she past away. I was 11 years old, Brad 10, Emry turned 9 a couple days after she died, Kensy was 7, Anders was 5, and dex was 3.

My mom made matching shirts for us and then made that heart frame for it.

She was such a great example to me. I hope that I can be more like her.

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Gavin! Happy Birthday to you!!! I made Gavin a train Cake. It was lots of fun to make. It is the first big cake adventure I have done and I think it turned out pretty good. Anders wants me to make him one for his 20th bday!!!
Gavin enjoyed banging on the presents. He did quiet understand how to unwrap them. But he loved all of his gifts. Thank you everyone!!!

Happy Birthday Gavin!!

Gavin was born on March 18, 2008.

He weighed 6 lbs 14 oz & 21 in.

He has been my neediest baby but also my cuddliest baby.

He brings such a joy to our family. He is going to be a tough kid. He has to put up with his overly playful sister! He has been over 20 lbs for the last 2 1/2 months. He started walking really well at 11 months. We love him so much. Happy Birthday again Gavin Dale Hugh!

Winter Vacations can't get better then this!!!!

So about 3 weeks ago I got an email from expedia with their promotions that they had right now. We weren't planning on it but we couldn't pass up the deal they had for a 4 night, plus airfare trip they had to Hawaii. So we booked it and went a week and half later. These pictures are in no particular order, just how I downloaded them.

This picture was taken at Pearl Harbor. That metal piece that is in the water is part of the Arizona, that got sunk and has men buried in it. We are on the memorial.

We went parasailing. It was a very fun experience. We were about 300ft in the air. We were up their for about 10 minutes. The driver dipped us into the ocean. Luckily we didn't see any sharks!!!

This is just a beautiful picture of the ocean.

We climbed some rocks through a shallow part of water to climb this bigger rock to see the ocean. We were right their it seemed in the middle of the ocean when we were on the other side of it.

This is a picture of all of us at Kualoa Ranch. It is where Jurassic Park, Lost, Godzilla, 50 first dates, and many more movies were filmed. We went on an hour long 4-wheeler ride and saw some of the famous movie sites. Then we went in a 6-wheeler vehicle exploring. We tasted fresh fruit of of the trees that you can only get their. They were sooooooooooo good.

We tried to go bogey boarding. It didn't really work for me because I am used to California waves and at this time the waves were just not very good for bogey boarding. But the boys still tried and succeeded a little.

Our hotel is right in the background somewhere. We were right on Waikiki beach. It was really pretty.

We also went snorkeling at hanauma bay. It was soooooo pretty. There were tons of fish. We took lots of pictures with some waterproof cameras. We saw about 4 different turtles. They along with the fish were close enough to touch.

We had a blast. Thank you everyone that helped out with the kids!!

Thank you Rick!! Rick is a wonderful husband. Not only is he a wonderful husband but he is an excellent dad as well. I truely got the whole package. He took me to my favorite place to eat on my bday. We had a nice day at the spa plan but we had to cancel last minute because our kids had rsv. But we still made it a great day. Thanks for working so hard to be able to provide for us. You are the best. I love you. Thank you Kensy for throwing a family bday party for me (and Christina). It was really nice. She had banners, balloons, confetti, cake, and ice cream. Her cakes were so cute. She made 2 flower cupcakes (1 for me, and1 for Christina). It is always fun to spend your day with all the ones you love.

Thank you Dad and Cynthia for taking us to Ninja for my birthday dinner. It was Christina's birthday dinner as well. We had a great meal. It was so good, thanks again. Also thanks Cynthia for singing the b-day song on my phone to hear. That brought a big smile to my face. Thanks to all my family for always being their. I got a text or phone call from practically everyone in my family (and that is a lot). Thanks for making my day even more special. I love all of you.

Little Miss Mother Hen!

Shelby is already trying to be the mom. She loves her baby dolls. We have to take one with us almost every where we go (walmart, church, walks) but she has a least a half a dozen at the house. Gavin has started to eat more foods and one of those new foods that he LOVES is jello. Shelby just had to feed Gavin. It was so cute. She would ask me if the bite was to big to give him and I would tell her if it was ok ot not. It was nice to wash the dishes without him pulling on my leg. She is little miss mother hen whether we or Gavin likes it or not! But it was just to cute I had to take some pictures and share them with you! Enjoy.

Jumpin Jacks!!!!!

Last weekend we took a trip to St George. I had to go to Costco but we wanted to do something fun with the kids. We took them to this new place called Jumpin Jacks. It is an indoor place with 7 or 8 blow up bounce houses, slides, and more. It was so much fun. It was a nice activity for the kids and it sure wore them out especially because Holly and Travis came with the kids. So the cousins just ran circles together in that place!

Gavin did not like the bounce houses! He loved the ground and crawling but the blow up jumpin things scared him to death. He had the tightest grip on Rick. It was pretty funny! Shelby went down the slide with Rick at the beggining but then she got braver and went by herself the rest of the time. She was very independent. Teagan and Travin had fun racing each other on the opstical course. But they had to wait for each other to go down the slides together! They love each other so much! Gavin was soooo cute. He wants to be big so bad. They turned the lights down and had a disco ball going with some music. Gavin and Peyslie had fun just dancing and watching the fun lights. They were adorable. Gavin just crawled around on the floor most of the time. Shelby would not let me take her picture in this house. I just happened to get the shot before she ducked back into the house to hide from me!!! Teagan Had so much fun! He loved the slides and the opstical course one! It was nice for him to get some energy out!!

Christmas Traditions

My family came over for Christmas eve. We had a family party and we exchanged gifts. Rick got a gift card to Chilies from Christina. I got Boogle from Cynthia. Teagan got a batman sword from Grandpa. Shelby got a princess dressup set from sophee. And Gavin got some clothes from Erin. Thank you everyone we love the gifts. We ate dinner. Played a game. Watched a very nice movie (picked out by Anders), exchanged gifts, and read a story about santa and Jesus. We had a really fun and spiritual day.

So I know that this is all really late but I thought I would share these pictures with you. A week or so before Christmas we made Gingerbread houses and we also made sugar cookies and the kids decorated them. It was lots of fun.

Snow, Snow, Snow!!!!

Yeah! It finally snowed last night. We thought It might never snow again. We bought the kids a sled a couple months ago just to be ready. They ask us all the time to go play with the sled and to make a snowman. We tell them that they can't do those things until it snows. So we had to and were very excited to go outside and play in the snow. Teagan helped mom make a snowman and Shelby had a blast eating the snow. We had lots of fun with the snow!

Mischievous Gavin

I can not believe that my BABY is already getting into to EVERYTHING. He has been army crawling for awhile now but has been doing pretty good the last week or so to crawl on his knees. He dashes around the house like he is one of the big kids. He loves and I mean loves to play in the bowl cupboard. I don't have a lock on that one because it doesn't harm anything and it keeps him pretty entertained ( as he is still a huge momma's boy and loves to be held, so any chance I have of him to playing by himself I am going to take). The other day was the first time I have seen him actually climb in the cupboard and hide. It was too cute.

Isn't he just the cutest thing ever? We think so!!! We love our Gavin!!

Halloween

So we had a very fun Halloween. We got dressed in our costumes in the morning and wore them all day. We went and visited Rick at the Hospital.

Rick was a scarecrow, I was a Hippie, Teagan was batman, Shelby was a scarecrow witch, and Gavin was a lion.

The Radiology Department had the theme of a Pumpkin Patch. The Guys were scarecrows and farmers. The girls were pumpkins. Here is a picture of a couple of the girls Rick works with. They all looked so good.

Mom and Gavin at the 3 Ward Halloween Carnival and Trunk-or-Treat. I was pretty much in charge so I was a little distracted making sure everything was going well but it turned out so well and their was a very good turn out. I had lots of fun planning and organizing it.

Dad is helping Teagan and Shelby walk around the pumpkin Cake walk.

Teagan, Shelby, and Gavin had lots of fun and got way to much candy walking around with dad at the trunk-or-treat.

After the ward party we took the kids trick-or-treating around sunset ridge with Brad, Christina, Mylor, & Mayson. We got lots more candy!! Look out dentist here we come!!!!!

Staheli Pumpkin Patch

This past Monday we took the kids to the Staheli Pumpkin Patch in St George (Washington) for Family Home Evening. Brad, Christina, Mylor, Mayson, Kensy, Neal, & Sophee went with us. We had so much fun. They have so much to keep the kids occupied with, it was hard to leave.

Gavin enjoyed the atmosphere so much. I was holding him most of the time and he kept trying to jump out of my arms. He was squealing and laughing the whole time. He smiled for me so good when i took his picture of him sitting on the hay stack. He didn't know what to think when we put him on the hay with the bull head. The kids had fun jumping on the hick trampoline (a mattress)

Shelby had fun on the slides. They were bid tubes that made them land in corn. They all got their faces painted. Shelby enjoyed the swings. She wasn't sure if she really liked them though.

Teagan had lots of fun on these swings. They had a saddle on the thing they use to walk horses. It went pretty fast. Christina helped Teagan lasso a bull. Way to go Teagan & Christina. Teagan liked to touch the animals at the petting zoo. They had sheep, baby horses, lama, a big pig, and more.

Family News

Ok, so we have had a lot of things going on in our family lately so i thought I would give a quick update on each of us.
Rick- He took his practical license a couple of months ago and passed. That was such a stress reliever. So now He is doing his Nuclear Medicine specialty. He will be done with that specialty at the end of 2009 summer. So right now he is working as an x-ray tech about 3 days a week and he is doing his nuclear medicine clinical hours (not payed) about 2 days a week. We are very pleased. This schedule had us very worried financially before we started but everything has worked out perfectly and we are making things work.
Tarah - I am just very busy with the 3 kids (we'll I guess you could say 4 if you include Rick). We just finished with soccer, so now more practice and games to drive to at the moment. I have been making Christmas cards for people. I like to do new crafts and things. I am loveing this holiday season. I have already started making lots of baked goods. It has been lots of fun.
Teagan- He goes to school 4 days a wekk and gets picked up by the bus. He loves school. He has been singing a lot lately. He is trying really hard to get his ABC's song done. He is growing like a weed.
Shelby- She has been very busy. She just finished potty training. She only wears underwear now. She is such a big girl. Even though she can be a pest to her brothers, she is definetly our little princess. She is so smart.
Gavin. Well he has been trying to cut his front 2 teeth for about a 1 1/2 weeks now. He has been kind of grouchy and extra needy. My dad and Cythnia watched all 3 kids this past saturday so Rick and I could go to Vegas for a wedding. My dad said that he had to hold Gavin about 99% of the time. Thanks dad!! And thanks Cynthia!!! And thanks Brad & Christina for helping them too!!! Gavin has also started sitting up on his own. He has also just styarted the army crawl. It is very slow and it takes a lot of effort but he can get a toy that is 2 ft away if he really wants it.
Well thats a little summary of what we are up to these days. I hope you enjoyed it.

Pumpkin Carving

Ok so we know that it is way to early to carve pumpkins but we just couldn't help it. Teagan was bugging us so bad to make a face on his pumpkin so we decided to do a couple right now. Teagan's was a clown and Shelby's was a fun smiley face. Mom cleaned the pumpkins out and baked the pumpkin seeds and Dad carved the faces. We had lots of fun!!!

Slam Dunk!!!!!

Teagan is the best all around athlete. He is so good for his age we can't even believe it. He has technique's down and really understands most of the skills. He plays basketball, baseball, football, and soccer. There is no doubt he is going to be awesome when he gets a chance to actually play on a team. His favorite sports are basketball and baseball. He loves to play sports and we know it is because he was born with a great talent and we help him to strenghten it by teaching and playing him all the time. He is definitely going to be an all star athlete. We love him so much and are very proud of him.

We had Brad & Christina take some pictures of the boys. We needed to get some of Teagan in his soccer uniform. He is so happy to be able to play soccer this year. He is pretty good but he really likes to run back and forth with the kids and just watch what every one else is doing. What can I say, he's just like his dad. He loves to watch people!!!

The Canyon Park River

Today is the last day of "summer" for dad. He has to start working, doing clinical hours, going to school, homework, and lots of studying. He is going to be very very busy this year. So he wanted to do something really fun with the kids before all the craziness starts. We took them to the Canyon park and let the kids play in the river.

We had a blast playing outside!!!! We just hope daddy can still find some time to still play with us. I guess we'll see!!!!!! We love you dad!

Snowy Days

It has snowed quite a bit the last couple of weeks. The kids have really enjoyed playing in the snow. Teagan likes to through snow balls at his dad. Shelby enjoys running through the snow and eating it as well. They like to bundle up tight with their snow boats on. They have soooooo much fun outside in the cold, chilly weather!!!
